UEE VC Inaugurates Business School Board, SPIMC; Charges Committees to Drive Skills-Based Entrepreneurship, Strategic Monitoring and Development.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education and Entrepreneurship (UEE), Akamkpa, Prof. Patrick N. Asuquo, has inaugurated the newly appointed Chairmen, Secretaries, and members of the UEE Business School Technical Board and the Strategic Plan Implementation Monitoring Committee (SPIMC), charging them to advance the institution’s vision for skills-driven entrepreneurship and sustained strategic development.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Asuquo expressed deep appreciation to the appointees for accepting the responsibility to serve at a time when global competitiveness demands more than academic credentials. According to him, the modern world now measures excellence by competence, creativity, and practical entrepreneurial capacity.

He emphasized that the establishment of the UEE Business School is a bold demonstration of the University’s commitment to blending skills acquisition with sustainable business development, an integral pillar of the institution’s long-term vision.

“The UEE Akamkpa Business School will serve as a catalyst for economic empowerment within our university community and beyond,” he stated. “The future belongs to those who identify opportunities, harness technology, adapt to change, and create innovative solutions. These are the graduates we are determined to produce individuals who will shape destinies, communities, and entire industries.”

He urged members of the committees to approach their roles with passion, integrity, and fervent dedication.

In his charge to the Strategic Plan Implementation Monitoring Committee, the Vice-Chancellor called for diligent tracking of ongoing institutional progress to ensure strict adherence to the University’s strategic blueprint. He further encouraged the committee to offer informed guidance and present well-thought-out recommendations to management on a quarterly basis to maintain alignment with the University’s mission and objectives.

Responding on behalf of the committees, the Chairman of SPIMC, Dr. Bassey Effiom Ene, expressed profound gratitude to the University leadership for the confidence reposed in them. He described the appointments as a call to service and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to UEE’s development trajectory.

Dr. Effiom encouraged members to work with renewed vigor and ambition, assuring management that the committees would deliver outstanding results.
“We will work diligently to conquer new frontiers and tackle emerging challenges. Our efforts will contribute significantly to the realization of the University's strategic vision,” he pledged.

The UEE Business School Technical Board is to be chaired by Dr. Victor Efut Ukam with Dr. Theresa Larry Bisong, Dr. Bassey Eni Edu, Dr. Angela V. Anangabor, Mrs. Judith Nandi, Mrs. Edom Ekpenyong, Mr. Mathias Ukpata, Mr. David Okune Etta, Dr. Kyriam Ibi Mfam, Dr. Uduak Bassey Mbang, Dr. Maurice Effieyen, Dr. Christian Egon Ibe, serving as members, while Mr. Bernard Eneje serves as Secretary.

In like manner, the UEE Strategic Plan Implementation Monitoring Committee (SPIMC) is chaired by Dr. Bassey Ene Effiom. with Dr. Ugbe A. Ugbe, Dr. Vincent O. Awhen serving as members, while Mrs. Inyang Etim Okokon serves as Secretary.
